Cases with congenital abnormalities (CAs) were selected from the Hungarian Congenital Abnormality Registry. Controls were extracted from from the National Birth Registry of the Central Statistical Office. 22843 / 38151 The Hungarian Case–Control Surveillance of Congenital Abnormalities was used 2 times to assess vaginal Metronidazole (Kazy 2005a; b): to avoid redundancy of cases and controls, only 1 was used => metronidazole alone (rather than in association).
